In 2007, pilot programmes were run in London and Switzerland. In spring 2008, an 8-week course ran for undergraduate students at Brighton & Sussex Medical School. The CETL (Centre of Excellence in Teaching and Learning) at St Bartholomew’s Hospital London commissioned two, 4-week courses in autumn 2008. Both medical schools ran courses in 2009/10, and at Brighton in 2011. Seminars were also run at University of Northampton, CSAPP in 2010 & 2011. During 2009/10, elements of the course were offered at 28 seminars, with Mind in Harrow’s People Like Us mental health promotion programme, funded by NHS Harrow. Seminars were run in religious premises (mosques, churches and temples), community halls, and hospitals (Northwick Park and Cygnet). |
